Welcome to the Mid-Warwickshire website where we hope you will find both useful Amnesty information and details of our group, our campaigns and our local actions. 

On June 2nd, 16 of the group met in Jephson Gardens, Leamington Spa, to place a wreath near the location of the old Amnesy tree.  The wreath commemorated both the lives of the hundred and possibly thousands who died, and the brave students who demonstrated for democracy 20 years ago in Tiananmen Square, Beijing.

Next MidWarwickshire Events in 2009:

A Letter Writing Event is held regularly.  The next one is on Tuesday 23rd June at the Cricketers Pub, Archery Road, L,Spa. 20:00 onwards.  See you in the room which is reserved for us.  Details about letter writing and how to do it effectively are to be found here.

Monthly group meeting is usually on the first Thursday of each month. (Except for Thursday June 11th, delayed due to the elections) Email Malcolm if you wish to attend: malcolm.hancock400@ntlworld.com else just turn up.  Details are to be found here.

Next MidWarwickshire Events in 2010:

The group will be holding another classical concert by the Oriflamme Ensemble, on the 16th January 2010 at St Mary's Church in Warwick.  Watch this space for more details as they emerge.
